Successful presentation of Slovenian designers at the “100% Design” fair in London
“100% Design”, held from 18 to 21 September 2013 in London, is the biggest British design trade fair and the main event of the London Design Festival. The following young Slovenian designers presented themselves at the fair, which annually attracts 30,000 visitors: Desnahemisfera, Luka Ločičnik and WoodStock. The presentation at the event was held with the support of the Regional Centre of Creative Economy – RCKE, which operates under the auspices of the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RDA LUR).
The designers of Desnahamisfera presented themselves in London with their furniture pieces, water bottles (for the ZkotZ d.o.o. company, Equa brand) and bathroom fittings (for the Kolpa, d.d. Metlika company). Desnahemisfera products are created by architect Damir Islamović and designers Klemen Smrtnik and Dejan Kos. They presented the Tramek TV cabinet among the furniture products at the fair, which was produced in the Connecting Design and Industry business chain. They impressed the visitors to the fair with their sofa set called Prime, which received the TOP 10 award at this year’s Ambient Ljubljana 2013 fair.
Luka Ločičnik presented the innovative multi-functional furniture product LLSTOL. The product is made from two identical pieces of wood, which the user arbitrarily composes into a chair, recliner, shelf or table.
Designer Jaka Jančič has also devoted himself to design using quality Slovenian wood. The WoodStock group create original handmade wooden glasses that are protected with natural finishes and supplied with high-quality lenses.
100% Design London: A springboard to the international markets
The products in the exhibition space attracted the attention of buyers and organizers of international design trade fairs in Europe. The designers made good use of their presentation at the fair to make contacts with international sales agents and buyers from Europe, Asia and other continents. They also received an invitation to participate in the definitive British furniture and design fair “INTERIORS UK”, which will be held in Birmingham from 19 to 22 January 2014.
100% Design London: Odskočna deska na mednarodne trge
Izdelki na razstavnem prostoru so pritegnili pozornost kupcev in organizatorjev mednarodnih prodajnih oblikovalskih sejmov v Evropi. Oblikovalci so predstavitev na sejmu dobro izkoristili za navezovanje stikov z mednarodnimi prodajnimi zastopniki in kupci iz Evrope, Azije in drugih kontinentov. Prejeli so tudi vabilo za sodelovanje na osrednjem britanskem pohištvenem in oblikovalskem sejmu »INTERIORS UK«, ki bo od 19. do 22. januarja 2014 v Birminghamu.
